So I bought the ASROCK Z97 EXTREME6, 2x8GB GSKILL Trident X, and the 4690K. Will it work together? I searched around and it seems that it will work together but no harm in double checking since it does say it's not compatible.

Solution
Who says not compatible?

To be certain, go to the g.skil web site and access their configurator.
Enter your motherboard and you should get a list of compatible parts.
I just tried, but theweb page is currently inaccessible to me.

TridentX will have a default 1333 speed which allows you to boot and get into the bios.
Once there, use a XMP setting to get your full speed.

Do not worry much about faster than 1866 speeds.
The higher speeds bring higher cas numbers and 1.65v which negates the faster speed in real apps.
