Hey all,

Just a few questions. Currently I am considering the Logitech G502 Proteus: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104934&cm_re=logitech_proteus-_-26-104-934-_-Product

As for other possibilities, the Corsair M65 is also appealing. The build quality appears to be better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0ZX2C40393&cm_re=corsair_mouse-_-26-816-009-_-Product

As for the games I play, lately it has been Evolve, StarCraft 2, and various FPS games. I want high DPI capabilities (8000 is PLENTY, both mice seem fine), a clean look (Logitech has a better aesthetic, but I absolutely adore the aluminum body of the Corsair, giving it a slight advantage), and well placed buttons for hotkeys (Logitech seems superior in this regard).

One key difference seems to be that Logitech uses an optical sensor, while Corsair uses laser. I've heard laser is better. Is this the case? What's the difference?

Are there any other options I should be considering?

Thanks!

I have a corsair M45 I use at work all day long and a Rat 5 at home. I had to RMA the Rat once but it was super easy and quick. The Corsair I have uses the plastic body but pretty much everything else is the same and it is a nice mouse but not adjustable outside of the weight. The Rat 5 however has quite a few adjustments and really fills in my hand perfectly. I would suggest you try the Rat 5 if you can but it may not go with the clean look you like. Everyone says it looks like a transformer.
