I am having some serious problems playing games on my current pc. Games like F1 2014, Diablo 3, Watch Dogs and to some extent Counter Strike: Global Offensive are freezing, screen goes black and then exits back to the desktop.

I used to get the message that the graphics driver had failed and restarted but that isnt appearing any more.

I have recently completed a fresh install of windows onto a new solid state hard drive, fresh driver installs all around.

My system is
CPU: AMD FX 8150 ( 8 core)
GPU: Inno3D GTX 780 Ultra DHS edition
PSU: Corsair TX 750W (probably the oldest part of the system, getting on for 5 years)
RAM: TeamGroup Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX (AM3+ socket)

I have completed a run of memtest86 with no errors reported, ran furmark and the temperatures didn't reach 60 celcius.

The only thing i have noticed using hwmonitor and asus ai suite is the vcore voltage is dropping, sometimes from 1.3v to below 1. is this an indication the psu is getting to old.

Any help is appreciated, i am quite an avid gamer and this is really causing me quite a head ache

Ran the CCleaner and made no difference. As far as I know nothing is overclocked, or hasn't been since I bought it. Testing the gpu this weekend in a friends system, if I have the time I will do the psu as well.
Will post any further developments

The vcore is dynamic. It will drop as needed when performance is not required. The CPU or gfx card isn't OC'ed is it?

I would first rule out software issues. Run CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry portions both. https://www.piriform.com/
It will help eliminate registry errors, software conflicts, and other resource hogging issues that can cause what you describe. If the problem still persists after that, then I would consider the PSU... or possibly a failing HDD.
