Hello, i think it is time to upgrade, but i have no idea what i should prioritize.
I mostly use it for gaming, and with the new games coming this year i think i need to upgrade

Here's my current specs:

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7970 | 3GB GDDR5
CPU: AMD FX-8320 Vishera 8-Core | 3.5GHz (4.0GHz Turbo)
Motherboard: ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0
RAM: 16GB DDR3

And i prefer a Nvidia graphics card because i hate the slow releasing updates from AMD.

I guess maybe the graphics card if so, then what graphics card should i get?

If you need more specific info please do not hesitate to ask

The 7950's equivalent is a R9 280, not 280x. The 280x would be on par with the HD 7970 Ghz edition.

What's your budget for the upgrade?

edit: just saw those are your current specs. If you have the money I would definitely upgrade the GPU to something like a GTX 970 and buy a CPU cooler to overclock the 8320.

Does the motherboard support Intel? I have looked around and didn't see anything about intel support, do you know if it does?

Oh and if it doesn't support intel then i would need a new motherboard i guess

Any AMD CPU you can recommend? Because if there's a AMD CPU that is as good(or better than) as the i5 and cheaper than a new motherboard and a i5 together, then i guess it would be more worth it buying a AMD CPU
