Hi, I'm Noah. I was wondering what the best software to record gameplay. Programs like Open Broadcast software, Xsplit, Fraps, Camtasia, Hypercam, etc. I put my money with OBS. Since it preforms well, relatively small file size, and doesn't make a slave out of your CPU. I understand that OBS may be more GPU intensive, but that's a small draw back. Being able to record several hours of HD content in under a GB of memory? That's impressive. To me at least, I'm not so computer savvy as some of you... Anyway what's the best most effective game capture software? That's what I want to know. I record things like League of Legends, Batman: Arkham Origins, cod, etc.

If you're going for free software, the only options IMO are the GPU based ones. Both OBS and the proprietary solutions (Nvidia Shadowplay or AMD GVR) use the same criteria to record via the GPU, and you're going to lose 5 frames at worst with an high end GPU (R9 270X and up or GTX 760/960 and up).
