Recently my mouse randomly stopped working on all my laptop's USB ports. I have tried other devices on the USB ports and they work fine. My mouse also works fine on other laptops and desktops. I tried several mice on my laptop and they all do not work. When I plug in my mouse, the optical light at the bottom flashes for a while before going off. I have restarted my laptop several times as well as reinstalled the USB drivers. Appreciate your time guys.

You should try removing the plug and play driver associated with the mouse. And by the way, plugging the mouse in another computer for 10 seconds and moving the cursor around for 10 seconds doesn't constitute as "checking if it works", you need to use it for a while.
