Lenovo Vs Acer

Hi this is my first thread and I am looking for some advice on what to buy for my next prebuilt desktop. I am not interested in building my own PC as I do not have enough knowledge or time to build one. I am looking to be recording Xbox games with my game capture in full HD and rendering/editing videos in Sony vegas, I will be doing some light gaming just playing minecraft on highest settings. Also I will be running lots of apps in the background, virtual machines, office, Chrome etc. I have a budget of around £800 I was looking and found these 2 machines I will probably be wiping the hardrive and putting a fresh install of windows on the machine to prevent any bloatware being bundled with the desktop. They are an acer Aspire TC-705 http://
and a Lenovo H30 http://
They both have Quad i7 CPUS, the acer has a 12GB and the Lenovo has 8GB ram, but the Lenovo has a better i7 and probably a better GPU Please could you take a look and give me some advice many thanks, Josh

Go for the Lenovo.

Lenovo has been in one of the top spots for a while now. They're quality is great, and they last forever.

Acer's strategy is to pack a lot of higher-end hardware in a cheap encasing, and sell it for as little as possible. It's great for a while, but it'll fall apart on you.

Thanks for the very quick reply I've heard Lenovo laptops are really good but why, in this case, is the Lenovo cheaper and the acer more expensive, the only advantage the acer has over it is the 4GB extra ram other than that it has a weaker GPU and CPU?

The Acer has a bigger PSU, wireless keyboard/mouse, a DVI port, and that extra 4GB of RAM. That's where the difference is at.

The extra 400MHz on the 4790 in the Lenovo will help out with your multitasking, and the GPU's are about equivalent.

Great thanks for the suggestion I guess I'll go with the Lenovo it seems to be better and is cheaper and is a good brand but I'll just buy a wireless mouse and keyboard

Wow how disappointing it may not be a major threat to me anyway because I'm planning on doing a fresh Windows 7/8 install if I get it to get rid of bloat but I'm pleased you brought that up
