Recently, I have asked for advice on a new PSU before and I have been suggested something around 500, 550(ish)W. However, I have calculated power demanding using a few websites with help from my colleague and it looks like 500 is minimum--it varies between 500 and 660. I've read a couple of articles on PSUs and suggestions are to multiply demanding power by ~1.5 and then decide on a PSU. I decided that 750W would be fine, perhaps a little more than I need.

Following the advices, I found a very good PSU XFX Pro Series Black Edition 750W. Bit-tech test link:
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/psus/2013/04/26/best-power-supply-psu-720-750w/9

Mainly, I am wondering if this PSU fits my gear. Currently I have:
- ASUS P6T SE
- Intel i7 2.8GHz 4 core i think it is 920 something
- Thermalright TrueSilver for a socket LGA1366
- 3xDIMM3 6 MB RAM -- planning to upgrade
- 4 SATA HDDs
- 1 IDEE HDD
- Graphic Card Geforce 285GTX that requires 2 6 PIN cables -- planning to upgrade
- FireWire Audio Interface
- Blueray recorder
- Antec P183 MidTower case

I am planning to upgrade RAM up to 12 or 24MB and buy a new graphic card.

My main question is whether this PSU fits my case Anten P183 with cables long enough.

Thanks.

Thanks for your link Pr3di.

The bay for a PSU is at the bottom back of the case. Cables might be an issue. I just need to check if the cables are long enough to connect everything
