GTX 730 vs 9600GT (friend made an upgrade)

A friend of mine made an upgrade from a 9600GT to a GTX 730. It looks like someone thought a new graphics card should automatically be better. Which I guess is true, but I want to know how much.
Any benchmarks out there? Couldn't find any in 20+minutes of googling so I guess I'll ask here.

At best it is a tiny upgrade. I don't see any direct comparison benchmarks either but here is our tier list.

It's a 2 tier jump and it's not even recommended to upgrade unless you jump 3 tiers to be able to really notice a difference. Both are extremely low end and neither will run any newer games on any but the lowest settings.

The thing is, it's a bit better, but the cpu is also important.

I have a 9800M GTX (1GB) in an old laptop paired with a Core2 Duo 9500, it right in the middle of your 730 and 9600gt. You can manage older games decently but nothing new.

The only straight numbers you can get is passmark - which is highly inaccurate.

I had the GT 9600. I had the 8400. I still have a dead MX2. I have a working ATI Radeon 9500 . Not the HD. The 150 nm based on R300.

The 9600 GT is close to GT 530 or GT 620. And as a GT 520 and GT 540 owner up until very recently- well I can vouch for it.
