What's guys, overclock newb here,

So basically first I'll provide my hardware detail

GTX 670 2GB GDDR5 Windforce Edition
i5 3570 3.4 GHz @ 3.8 at Turbo Boost clock
8GB 1333 MHz Adata Ram
Msi h610-p20 (G3) Mainboard
RealPower 600 WATT 80+ Bronze Certified

I've recently been running through some overclock video tutorials and seeing how every gpu overclocks differently I'm not really sure how to tune my settings so I've been poking my Core / Memory clocks a little bit and benchmarked via msi combustor,I've noticed benchmark score increasing however after I decided to try Watch Dogs to see just how much of an improvement I'd get, I started getting driver crashes and got me thinking why is this happening since I literally increased my core mhz to like 50 and memory aswell,so how exactly should I OC my gpu to get some noticable framerate increase without having to increase my voltage as I know that if I increase that setting it kills my gpu lifespan

More information on my card is stock core clock is 980 mhz
memory clock is 1502
boost is 1059 mhz

Solution
Okay now that you know it crashes there. Slowly decrease it, every computer component over clocks differently. You have a good PSU enough watts so energy shouldn't be a problem. Did your computer shut off while it game you those driver crash.

It would be helpful if you can show or tell us what those driver crashes said.

hi, my pc didn't crash, what happened was I got crashed to desktop with the message watchdogs.exe has stopped working, also the driver messages would say '' nvidia display driver has stopped working and has successfully recovered O.O ''

I don't know this PSU manufacturer; it could be Sirtec or SuperFlower inside (decent quality), but I didn't find a review.

OP, what are the GPU temperatures? It should be below 80C at full load, 40C idle.

my drivers are up to date, the gpu temps stay below 75C, usually stick around 70 when stressed, anyways when I bump my core clock to like 75 mhz I get a crash, I increased my power limit to 110% but I still get crashes, also I've tuned up my memory clock for a +100 mhz
