HyperX ram red mother board light and stuck at motherboard screen

So I decided to purchase new ram. I went with the HyperX Fury 4GB Black Kit2(I don't know which stats matter, but here are the rest - PC12800, DDR3, 240-pin DIMM, 1600Mhz, CL10). I shoud have been compatible with my ASUS P7P55D which should support memory up to 1600Mhz(my previous one was 2 sticks on 2GB ,1333Mhz). So this is what I tried:
Putting both in the same color slots - this showed a redlight on my motherboard and made the computer freeze at the motherboard startup screen.
Putting both in different color slots - this started a loop of blue screens, automatic repairs crashing, and just not working, but in memOK it detected all 8GB or ram.
Trying only one stick in one slot - this also memOk'd, but in just froze up at automatic repair screen and once in a while ,it didn't even write the automatic repair part.

So what should I do? Should I ask for a replacement, or did I pick the wrong ram?
Thanks in advance!

Solution
The Hyper X Fury line run based on PnP which isn't supported by your mobo, they list compatible chipsets on the web page (basically it starts with the 1155 mobos and P67

When adding just a single stick it goes on the infitine restarting loop. And it supports DDR3.

It could be that, but I'm just wondering what are the odd of both sticks being bad. Maybe it really is a compatibility isue?

While that specific kit is not on Asus QVL list, it is still supported. Their QVL just means they tested it and verified it will work at specified settings. You can still use non QVL kits but some tweaking might be required.

The fact that it freezes or crashes with either or both sticks says bad memory to me.

I'm using only the kit, so it should work together. And on my motherboards box it says that it should support 2200(O.C)/1600/1333/1066 Mhz's.

It says 4x DIMM max 16GB , so I assume 4GB per slot.

It looks like chances are you got a faulty kit. Try getting it from a different company like Cosair , Kingston, G.SKill Ripjaws

Darn. That doesn't seem like common knowledge at all. I guess I should have double checked, but I'm really not sure how I could have found it out on my own. I'll just have to figure out what to do with it now. Thank you everyone!

That should not matter. The PnP is a built in solution by Knigston but the memory still is set by JEDEC standards and that is mostly what determines support. Anything beyond that is what could cause incompatibilities.

Honestly it is stupid to implement a technology that limits your customer base.

So could it be that the stick is still faulty?
