G3258 with dual GPU, or i3-4360 with single GPU?

out of sheer boredom, i'm kicking around the idea of putting together yet another system, mostly for my Steam games at home (my other "game" pc is at the office as a dual-purpose). i'm not a heavy gamer, it's just for fun. not everything has to be on ultra settings and 1000fps on a 4k screen. it's just 1080p.

option 1 is using a G3258, learn to OC it a bit, and be cheap enough that i can swing dual graphics cards. maybe some crossfire amd junk. my work/game pc is nvidia, so some variety would be cool.

option 2 is using an i3-4360, stock, and a single higher-end amd card. probably an itx size build.

either way it'll be the same steam games, same/similar ram, same ssd (maybe an MX100). so only diff would be CPU-GPU combo.

thoughts?

I actually just bought a G3258 and MSI Z97 Gaming 5 today at Tiger Direct, with a 125g Samsung SSD and an Asus R9 270x 2gb on their way from New Egg. I have an old ATX case and an unused 850w power supply sitting around and I thought it would be fun to play around with OC genie and do some 'hot rodding' and save up for another video card.
A modern Toyota Camry V6 has like 50 more HP than a 93 Mustang 5.0; but what would you rather work on or drive?
I only play WoW, I have another PC for work- this one's just for fun. Enjoy the journey AND the destination.

it was infinitely easier to find aftermarket blocks / heads / etc for a chevy than a ford. it's built on a World Products Merlin II tall-deck block, Brodix heads, JE / Crower innards, etc, all bought just a few months before the dot-com bubble burst and all my money vanished. hence, just the motor.

at least gasoline is getting cheaper now!

Aftermarket for Ford is easy, if you know what to look for. 302/351w parts are plentiful. 351w, turned into a 408 stoker is a pretty mean motor, and lighter than a big block. There are plenty of options for a 460, also. 557 stroker kit, with a set of trick flow heads, edelbrock intake, comp cam, and a demon carb, would make for an awesome motor. I am going for stump pulling torque. I have been looking more towards the 460/557 stroker, as I already have my 400m planned out. There are some nice options, for the 400, but a 460/557 stroker would be cheaper than a 434 stroker from a modified block.
