Hey guy's.
So my system..more or less exploded...And I finally got around to getting a cheap PC from Wal-Mart and quickly decided that a desktop PC having the output of a 2009 laptop wasn't good enough for me. Subsequently I went into "slight genius mode" and made a test bench out of a PS4 *Trust me, It's relevant* box and used my old hardware *Including a brand new mobo and CPU and the OLD PSU, using the ol' jumper trick* and the HDD and PSU from the new PC to create my own personal Frankenstein. It is working fine, with the exception of the GPU fan, which constantly runs at 100% no matter what I do. I'm happy with my creation but it was time for an upgrade when I first got the gaming rig, Which is still listed as my system specs if you're curious, minus the Physx Hybrid.

I put together a quick build on Part Picker - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LP4zjX

I wanted some of you guys' opinions, since I'm pretty new at system building. The main question I had is; Will the MSI board fit in the case adequetly? I read it sits close to the top of most cases -

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming - mobo
Corsair SPEC-03 - Case - Red for those of you who care.

I appreciate all the help I've gotten from here, and even though It might go unanswered, I wanted some opinions on whether it would even be worth it to make a thread; I have a doa PS4 that Sony apparently can't/won't fix, So I've decided to take a look at any possible conversion to an actual PC/Laptop. I've already formatted the HDD and, was, using it..but..yeah. Anyway, Has anyone tried this? Success or no? SHOULD I make a thread?

On the note of upgrading, I don't really plan to any time soon which is why I'm kinda going all out on this build. I was looking at some broadwell' and Z97 boards but from what I gathered it would put me over 1000, which is fine, but I'd have to wait a bit longer. From my experience, if I wait then there'll be a new chipset. AND then nVidia's probably about to release something...geez, do you think it'd really be worth it? I've been using a base WD Black for years now, and knowing me I'd get spoiled with an SSD..If so, do you have any recommendations?

I plan on getting an 850, if I get an ssd, However I meant as far as mobo and cpu go. Thank's for your help btw, It's people like you that keep this forum great :) I plan on making a new part picker list with a Broadwell build soon, I still hope to keep it near 1000 though, and hopefully a red and black or white and black/red theme, I want this to be my pride and joy. I was also thinking about just saving for a couple months more and getting an X99 build, Worth it?
