Wireless adapter antenna

I already have a wireless antenna on my wireless card but it supports two. So my question is will i get better quality or range adding another antenna? I normally get 3 bars in my room of wifi for my gaming pc and was just wanting to know if it would boost that up a bit? Because I don't want to buy another antenna if it won't help it would just be a waste of money.

You might get better throughput if your card is a "two stream" card and your router is at least a two stream router. You would have to have an N300 or better router and an N300 card.

how would i find out if they are two stream? My router should be I have a pretty nice belkin router that I got last year and it was the top of the line model they had out then.

Google the model and see what the manufacturer says. If it says 300Mbit in the 2.4Ghz band then it is a dual stream. Usually dual antennas means dual stream.
