GTX 960 good enough for video editing?

I'm thinking of purchasing a GTX960 just for 2 weeks of video editing with dual monitor. My 460 is just having too much of a hard time keeping up, heat wise. I was wondering if it was okay to use it for just like that purpose, and I'm for sure returning it as I am holding out on what AMD has coming out.
Just an idea, just wanted to see if it was worth the effort back and fort.

Thanks.

It all depends on your software. If you are using Premier - go with nVidia. If you are using Sony Vegas - go with AMD.

And new AMD video cards are a good quarter away.

Yeah, it still does. My issue is the heat that I accumulate while using dual monitor. It's just too much.
