Storage only HDD should I use MBR or GPT?

So i just finished building my PC and installed Windows 8.1 on a 500gb SSD and have a 2tb HDD that i want to use to store all my games on but I dont know what style partition to use for the HDD, MBR or GPT?

Hey there, Spankus!

Well, you might as well format it in MBR. This format is usually used with any drive below 2.2 TB. It is the standard partitioning scheme and it supported up to 4 partitions on the drive. If you want to have more than 4 partitions on it, then I guess you should go with GPT.
If you were to have a 3TB, let's say, then you wouldn't have any choice and would need to format it in GPT.
