I have made a picture to illustrate how I would like to deal with sleeving the double wires for my computers 24 pin connector. The picture has 3 diagrams.
Diagram 1 - shows how the double wires are done in the original 24 pin connector
Diagram 2 - shows how people appear to be doing it (using solder)
Diagram 3 - shows how I would like to do it but am not sure if it is safe or if it will work without blowing up my computer.
Since my PSU is hidden under a shroud I don't really care how the sleeving will look going to the PSU since it will be hidden.
Then method I am showing in the picture appears to me to be a simpler way to do it.
