My build is an i5 4670k, a Seagate Barracuda 2 TB HDD, a Kingston v300 SSD 120 GB, a MSI Z87 GD65 mobo, 8 gigabyte ram, and a CX600 PSU. My keyboard is Corsair K40 and my mouse is a Corsair M65. I have a system builder's Windows 8 disk. My monitor screen is blank when it is connected. My GPU is an MSI Twin Frozr R9 270X. Please help. I need it fixed in a day.
I have a new build with an old hard drive that has MBR issues. My keyboard and mouse work but are not sensed.

check to see if when posting the onboard video is working. if it is check to see if you can get into the bios. if you can see if the mb has the 1.b bios installed if not download it to a usb stick unzip it and use the mb bios updater to update the mb bios.

if there no post at all from the video ports. pull the gpu and one ram stick. if the onboard video turns on check the bios rev. if it low update it.
in the bios of the mb under usb you may have to set it to full on. (under boot tab).
