Hi guys, i have this Aspire ZC-105 PC which is an all-in-one PC as stated. I was wondering if i can upgrade the E series AMD E1-2500 that is inside with something of the same architecture (according to wikipedia, the latest CPU under the same family is A6-5200)

And i dont really know if all in one PC works the same way as a desktop PC where i can just replace the CPU with another one as long as it is compatible with the motherboard.

And really appreciate it if someone can enlighten me if i can upgrade, what will be compatible with my system.

Thanks in advance! :D

I recently had the same question for laptops. The answer is the same as for laptops: you can upgrade as long as you stay "in range" of your laptop's product line. Example: let's say Acer brings out the new line of laptops "SuperSilent" which has 5 models in it. If you bought the lowest tier model from this line, you can upgrade your CPU with the CPU from the line's highest model.

What you want is a bit crazier so I'm not sure if it will work. it's crazier because you wanna switch a non-integrated GPU processor with an integrated GPU processor. Even if you can do the upgrade; I'm pretty sure you can only stay within the product line of your all-in-one; and I highly doubt that the high end model has an APU.

Good luck my friend :D!
