whats my rig worth, how should i sell it

Link fix: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/TjjzjX

The i7 980x alone is worth £200
That mobo is £100 - £150
Ram £100 for the lot
hd 6970 £50
1500w PSU £50
The rest £50

So £600+ if you sold it in parts.

If you're listing on ebay remember that you will lose almost 14% in fees. You could also list on gumtree for free. Selling it as a complete package is obviously easier but the final sale price will likely be a little lower too.

But if I can offer some advice - keep that PC, at least for a while. Your CPU is still very strong and could handle a GPU upgrade no problem.

Sell the 6970 and get a GTX 970 or R9 290, drop an SSD in there too and boom, it would be a monster rig once again.

Problem is I got a new case that i love and have wanted for a while and the g1. assassin doesnt fit in it and i would just get a different mobo but i don't know which ones are good.

Ouch. The biggest problem with LGA1366 motherboards now isn't what's good, it's what's available. They're getting harder and harder to find. The rampage boards are great but at £350 a pop they're not cost-efficient, as that's a good chunk towards a 4th gen CPU + board.
