How to enable both onboard graphics and gpu on asus maximus vii hero?

Hi. I'm trying to enable both onboard graphics and gpu on asus maximus vii hero. My GPU is MSI R9 270. The reason I'd like to enable both is because my mobo has VGA but my video card doesn't and AFAIK the only way to get my video card to work with my motherboard is to disable the onboard video.

There must be a way to enable both so I can utilize both my mobo's ports and my gpu's ports.

The way the BIOS is set up you can't. If you set the graphics location (in the BIOS) on auto, it will automatically pick the graphics card if one is present in the PCI Express x 16 slot. Otherwise you can pick one manually as the graphics source integrated or the PCI Express x16 slot.
