There's no guarantees when mixing packages of DRAM, even the same exact model, for 16GB if mobo supports it go w/ 2x8GB or a 4x4GB single package of DRAM

it will still function, however adding that to your board will drop you down to Single Chanel mode. you will want to either buy two of what ever sized RAM modals you want to keep your board running in duel channel mod. (twice the memory bandwidth)

so if your looking to add another 8GB's of RAM, buy a 2x 4GB kit.

The memory I linked is on sale for 44$ with a code so would it just be easier to just buy two of those
