R9 270 is a good choice. For less power usage and size GTX 750Ti. I like the GTX 750 Ti because because you can choose a card that is very short in length and many have no need for a six pin connector or for most people no need to upgrade the power supply. The 750Ti runs very cool so unless u need eye candy no need to buy the cards with more fans or anything because this just adds to the price they do not have to have the extra cooling or six pin connector per say. Do your own research, shop around and buy what fits your needs. On Ebay both the R9 270 and Gtx 750ti our ranging from used to new from $115 to $170.Do not be afraid of refurbished items I have bought many refurbished items online and in 12 years only had to return one for exchange and I have saved a ton of money over the years. As far as PC items the only thing I will not buy refurbished or used is a power supply.Anyways good luck and hope this helps.
