For a couple of months now I've been using 2x8 GB sticks of ram that I purchased. The system was running perfectly fine until today where I get the dreaded red light of error messages. Now my system will not post. I know it's the ram because it does post if I use my backups.

Here's my system info

Ram: AX3u1600W8G11-DD 2x8GB
MoBO: M5A99FX PRO R2.0
CPU: FX-8350
GPU: R9 280x
PSU: Corsair 750

Update: I've done some further testing and have discovered that only one of my new sticks does not work. IT does post if I use the other one. It does not matter what slot the second one is in, I get the bios beep.

There was also a fan that seemed to be running slower than the others, that was making a lot of noise, but I disconnected it.

Your probably going to have to get an RMA if your still under warranty. If it's "bad", which you mentioned your testings methods, you'll need a new set. Ram can go bad for a couple of reasons. Could just be a latent defect from manufacturing that took a while to show itself(fracture in solder joint perhaps)from heating/cooling cycles from regular system use.
