please help: internet router puzzle

hi guys

i have the following connection problem

- my router is connected to broadband
- my ipad and other computer has internet

now my problem:
my main laptop is connected to the router (can view my NAS) but no internet connection (tried with wired and wireless).
i even re-installed completely windows 7 on it to be sure but still no internet.

any ideas? I'm completely clueless
please help

Who is your broadband ISP provider? Call them and ask them to see if they can ping your router. Do they require an account password? They may need the MAC address of the router to activate it. Did the ISP provide the router? Have you contacted the ISP tech support?

I'm with BT and they provided the router, but as I mentioned, I can surf perfectly with my ipad connected to the same router....

and with the PC, i can surf perfectly if i connect to bt openzone instead of my home router...

thanks for this, I'll try calling them tomorrow.

i just tried to change my mac address and upgraded all my network drivers, but still, no internet when i connect to the router
