Hey guys, I have a gateway dx4870 with a factory 300w power supply. I recently purchased an ASUS gtx 960 gpu, when I boot up the card gets power, and the fans start to spool up, but then the pc freezes on the bootup screen and beeps once, then three more times, and then shuts down. I booted it once and it immediately shut down. Keep in mind that it is frozen and I cant access my bios, but I'm pretty sure I'm running the latest update. I'm guess its the psu, but I have a gtx 550ti and the system runs it just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm hoping it's the power, if it's the bios idk what I'm going to do, my only option would be to switch boards. It's freezing on the boot up screen and shuts down shortly after. Since it's completely freezing on gateway boot up with no black out, or blue screen and not letting me go into boot options or bios, I'm assuming it's power. If it was the bios I figure I would at least be getting a blank screen. I think the beeps are being caused by the lack of power to the machine, and the chipset, motherboard, bios can't function properly. I've been wrong before lol
