Micro Atx in Atx case?

it will fit no problem. the screw holes will line up with some of the stand offs. obviously you won't use them all since the board is smaller. but you won't have any issues using the smaller board.

Usually, but may depend on brand and model if the case is old.

I am going to use Asus h97m-e(micro ATX) in an Atx case. It nowhere states that this case will support micro atx also. So should go for it?

like i said, no reason for it not to work. screw holes will line up and it would clearly have room enough since it is smaller than atx board by a good bit. unless that case is an old prebuilt on with some kind of weird form factor, there should be no issues.
