Please help me choose a laptop cpu

Hello

Which laptop cpu's are good to have?

I am looking for multi core.

I will use it for gaming(small), graphic design, 3D design and rendering and video editing.

I will probably have two laptops.

I will also use it for music recording, editing, production. One for graphics and one for music.

I have to build a desktop also so looking for a cpu that will do a great job but doesnt have to replace the desktop.

What cpu's should I look for in laptops?

i7 for video and music editing, recording and reproduction, or other high end applications. And since the mobile i5's are much weaker than their desktop counterparts, I'd suggest an i7 if you intend to game as well. Models with discreet GTX 850 or 860 GPU would be your best bet for gaming and for advanced video applications such as 3D graphics. R7 graphics are ok, but not great. R5 graphics suck. Integrated graphics like HD xxxx and AMD APU's with less than R7 graphics, also suck, plus, since the i7 is in a class of it's own as compared to the AMD APU's CPU functions, it's moot anyhow.

You also want a 1080p display most likely. Anything less will be problematic for graphics.
