I've read and tried everything. I've played with the BIOS options until I'm dizzy. Although the drive is fully recognized in the BIOS, it's like it's not a bootable device. There's no windows no anything at this point, just the key embedded in the bios and this windows 8 x64 disk. Someone, anyone - HELP. It's my daughter's college computer (I'm still on windows 7 thankfully).

With secure boot turned off, put the DVD in the drive, and in BIOS setup, you have to choose the DVD to boot first (not the UEFI DVD, the standard DVD boot), and when it first goes past the bios, you have about 3-5 seconds to "press any key to boot from the DVD". Press a key and off you go.
