Hi,

I was originally planning on getting the Sapphire version of the R9 270, but looking on new egg, I found a OPEN BOX PowerColor for $119.99. This is $45 bucks cheaper- Normally I would say no, but I am trying to cut some corners in price of my build because I have to buy a PSU. Thanks!

Yes, it's a good brand, I've owned a number of them (running one right now for almost two years so far). Having said that, it doesn't obviate the fact that you ARE buying an open box item, something that has been returned. It may be that the previous owner changed his mind, or that it was defective and has been repaired, but the uncertainty involved is a risk and that's why its cheaper. I've purchased a few open box items in the past and everything has went well, but that's no guarantee.
