Why not go with a 16GB dual channel (2 x 8GB) RAM kit, instead of two different types of RAM? That's the only odd quirk I really see. If everything else fits in your budget, then go with it. Although, I like the Samsung 850 EVO SSD better than the 840, and I believe it's cheaper too.

What about the OS...im not to fond of windows 8 and 8.1. Would 7 still be viable? I have seen where they are going to discontinue updates for it in the near future. And on storage configuration would it be best to extend the c drive to both drives?

On the motherboard i have been torn between the following:

Asus Maximus VII
Asus Z97 Sabertooth
Asus Z97-A
Asus Z97 Pro

Wiith the cost another user saved me up top would it be a good idea to go ahead and run sli with an additional 970? Is there a better case or is coolermaster probably the way to go? And lastly should i use the stock fans or purchase better ones?
