The stock CPU (8350) fan is extremely loud and I want to use a Hyper 212, but I don't know if my components support it. Based on my specs, can someone tell me if my computer is able to support the 212? BTW I already own a 212, but haven't put it into my build.

Specs:
•GPU - GeForce GTX 760
•CPU - AMD FX 8350 8 Core Processor
•RAM - 8 Gigs (4x2) of Crucial Ballistix
•MOBO - Asrock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer
•Case - Bitfenix Comrade (Black)
•HDD - ST1000DM 1TB
•SSD - Samsung EVO 250GB
•Power Supply - EVGA Super Nova 750w G2
•OS - Windows 7

UPDATE: i installed the Hyper 212, but now there isnt video coming up on my minitor. if you have time, check my new thread for a better description of the issue

With the H7 you get:

Unmatched Compatibility
Zero RAM Interference

Focusing on providing the widest range of
compatibility, the H7 utilizes an asymmetric slanted
heatpipe layout to move the heatsink away from the
RAM zone, Offering optimal compatibility for RAM
with tall heat spreaders on both Intel 115X and
AMD platforms.

Yes, the cooler has appropriate hardware for AMD sockets and just about any aftermarket cooler beats stock, especially with 90mm vs 120mm fan. The only thing to watch for is the fact that stock blows some air over your VRMs. A chip rated at 125 watts can pull a lot of current through them and heat em up good.

Something that blows air down and over the vrms may be a better choice for longevity of your motherboard.

I havent run AMD for a long time, so I am not sure if this is a concern with the higher end amd boards or not, just a thought.

the ram slots on the mobo are far enough from the cpu that they should not be in the way. the fan can be moved to the back of the heatsink for a pull instead of a push or the fan can be raised a bit on the ram side for clearance if need be.

and the ballistic sport is the only version with those weird fins sticking up. the other ones should fit under the fan easily.

the hyper should work well on the mobo and offer much better cooling than the stock cooler.
