Windows 8.1 problems

So I built my new pc, installed windows 8.1. Everything works except it doesn't connect to the Internet. I have wired Internet. I tried it on another device and it worked. When I troubleshooted it said- "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver." Can somebody explain how to fix this? I have a Gigabyte z97x gaming 5 mobo

Go here....check ur windows 8.1 version (32 bit or 64 bit) and download all ur drivers....reinstall evrything in safe mode.... should be set and running

Enable onboard LAN/NIC (network interface card) or whatever they call it in BIOS if such an option exists.
Install chipset drivers for the motherboard and the drivers for onboard NIC.

Bigfoot LAN driver I guess it's called.

How do I update my drivers if I don't have an Internet connection?

Get creative. Go somewhere where there is Internet, a friends place, the library, work, whatever. Plug in a memory stick in the computer, download.
