Hey guys,
I just bought an extra set of RAM (Kit Dual Channel Corsair 4GB (2 x 2GB), DDR3, 9-9-9-24, 1600MHz) to add to my PC's existing RAM (Exact same model, voltage, latency). When i try to start my computer with all 4 of the boards plugged in beeps until shut down (repeatable short beeps). The computer works with one new and one old, but not with 3 or 4 of them at once. My motherboard model is Gigabyte H55M-UD2H. Normally they should work because the motherboard supports max 16 Gb of RAM. I checked in BIOS and it seems the only difference between them is a parameter called tRFC witch is 74 for the old one and 108 for the new one. Can you please help me ?

Thanks,
Stefan

Solution
Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards can be very sensitive to this.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.

In particular, 4 sticks are harder to manage.
Try upping the ram voltage a bit. That will often fix your type of problem.

You might test all the ram individually using memtest86+ to be certain they are all good.
You should get NO errors on a full pass.
