Hi for my first custom pc I'm looking for one that will edit and render videos well in Sony Vegas and for light gaming in minecraft my budget is £650-700 I already have a monitor keyboard and mouse Windows 7 disk and some hardrives. I would appreciate it if you could make up a build suitable for me many Thanks josh

Solution
Here's a starting point with an i5 and 8gb of ram - the bare minimum, the GPU is good though with CUDA acceleration to help you with renders in Vegas.

PizzaTheHutts build would be great for gaming, but could be a lot better for editing. I took his build and fixed that aspect.
This would still be good for gaming, but would be awesome at editing.

Good point! I completely forgot about Xeon processors! You can also, later on upgrade this with an extra 960 in SLI if you upgrade the PSU a little now too.

It looks good apart from the GPU - I can't emphasise this enough: CUDA is so much better than the OpenCL that you'll get with an AMD card - NVIDIA GPUs even support OpenCL too, they just have CUDA included.

Yeah, I guess Ill go with an nvidia GPU, probably the one you suggested on the build you gave me, many thanks for your answers
