Hello guys,

I am looking to build a fast workstation that will be mainly used for office tasks (Word, Excel, internet, etc) and streaming video. So Video and Audio are also really important. I have read many threads including BestConfigs workstations, but I wanted check with the community. I think my preference would be Intel based, also including a SSD for the OS. I'm shooting for under $800. Any suggestions on a build??

Thanks for helping.

Solution
Put together a prospective list from wherever you might buy.
I think you are on the right track.
To my mind, a SSD is the most important component. If 240gb will be enough space for files, good.
I like Samsung evo, about $250
But, video files can be very large, so a hard drive for storage will likely be needed.
As to a cpu, A i3 of some sort would be about right. The higher clocked, the better.
A i3-4160@3.7 would be good.
Integrated video is sufficient for anything but fast action gaming.
A 2 x 4gb kit of ram is plenty, speed is not important.
Cases are a personal thing, but I believe in quality, and lian li makes some of the best.
In an office, you do not want a large case. I suggest a ITX motherboard and a case like this:

A basic 300-400w psu is all you need.
I like Seasonic quality. Here is a 380w unit
