Hi guys,
I would like to go in details sorry for lengthy post.
I am from Pakistan a developing country. I am doing video editing (DV PAL, HD, 4k & RAW) and 3D still/Animations. I am also a gamer. Right now I am facing a lot of issues related to GPU. First I thought I should go for Quadro but then I changed my mind because it is not good in gaming. I was looking for a card which is good in gaming, 3D rendering & video plugin support/Rendering. After thinking and search I came to these cards which are Gtx 660, Gtx 960 & Gtx 970. Now in Pakistan I have one more issue it is hard to find these card especially if you want to go in detail with the brands and models. Why I am posting here.

1) Need Help in selection of anyone of these.
2) If you know about any other card in the same range which is better according to my need do tell me about it.
3) Lower budget better performance is my priority because I don’t have much money I can go for 970 but it will be difficult for me financially.
4) How much extra a card will cost me if I order one from US/UK/Canada if anyone have any idea do let me know.

My system specs are
Asus z87 gryphon Mobo
Intel Processor i7 4770k
Corsair vengeance Ram 16Gb DDR3 1600 MHz
Samsung DVD/RW 24x
HDD 500 Seagate Primary
HDD 2TB WD Black Secondary
PSU 450W CM thunder
Case/Chasis CM HAF 912

& I am planning to get a Solid State Drive.

Sorry I don't know how good my English is, Sorry Admins I don't know much rules because I just signed up & this is my first post :)

In this case your best bet would be the 960 or the 970 don't consider the 660 it's and old and weaker one better get something that will last for a while.
I don't see any other option than...

I was monitoring my whole computer electricity consumption and it maxed at 150W including LED which draws 30W of power. So if my PSU is not giving me 450W then it is not less than 300W. Still is it safe to go for 100W to 150W card?

i can make it easy for you. the psu you have does not have the needed power connectors for a 970 which needs 2 6 pin connectors. you only have a single 6+2 connector. the 960 would be a solid option for you since it only needs a single 6 pin connector.

the lack of the right connectors is the HUGE hint that the psu can't power a 970. 500w or more would be needed for a 970 with your specs.

okay If I go for specs comparison then 660 is better than 960 and have SLI. I can add one more GPU later and a better PSU later. What is your opinion on it? it means 970 is out of list right now?

Sorry just went through specs again 960 have SLI & is a good card my bad.

High Memory Bandwidth and wider memory bus these are only two good factor 660 have over 960

The 960 is newer and better and consumes less power than the 660 so definitely get the 960 also you don't need to upgrade your power supply at all.

According to your needs you need a good amount of vRam the 960 has only 2GB while the 970 has 4GB but more expensive.
Another option would be to upgrade your power supply and get R9 280x 3GB or even the R9 290 which has 4GB of vRam as well.

as is, the 960 is the way to go. if you upgrade the psu you can get anything you can afford. if you are in the US, then about $50 will get you a good enough psu for any single card. to get one that allows for sli later would be about $60-70 on the low end.

I don't see any other option than these two cards both are good cards the 960 is considered a mid range card whereas the GTX 970 is a high end card so it all depends on your budget if you want something powerful and more future proof then go with the 970 you'll also need a new power supply, if you're in a tie budget then go with 960 without the need to upgrade your power supply you can add SLI later to get more performance.
