Hey guys!! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU. I don't want to spend over $210. I currently have a GTX 460 and was looking at the r9 280 and GTX 960. I also have a 620w psu and a fx8320 processor and I do care about power usage but I want a good power/watt ratio. I was leaning towards the GTX because I already have a GTX and enjoy it. But would love suggestions.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Please also suggest brand and price too if you could. I'm looking for 1080p gaming too. Thanks in advanced.

For straight out performance, the 280x. The 960 gets a lot closer when both overclocked but the 280x has some wild discounts (with more expected) ... can be had for $190

If PhysX is of interest, being able to use your current card as a PhysX processor might make the 960 more attractive. As might Shadowplay, G-Sync .... but otherwise the 280x gives gives you a little more for the money ..... however a good part of this **might** evaporate if you are adding a case fan to remove the extra heat or need use a larger PSU.

960 needs 400 - 450 .... 280x needs $550

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Do you guys think the 960 would be able to accommodate games like shadow of mordor and skyrim at 1080p on max? Also maybe some games like sniper elite 3 on max. And perhaps ff14?

Thanks again!!
