Thermal paste/heat sync quick question

So had my first experience of applying thermal paste today...
Cleaned cpu and headsync base with isopropyl Alcohol put pea sized blob on (sorta it was a bit more runny than I though so a melted pea + a bit would be better idea)

Then when I put on my heat sync I ended up moving it around slightly while I attached the clips to secure the heat sync down.... This won't cause any issues with the paste will it?

Great thanks was hoping that just didn't want it to affect thickness.... I had to lift a bit aswell as I ended up having to put one side of clips in first then lowering other side down... But this was after I had originally placed the headsync down just straight onto... Then had to move it and fiddle

I put the paste on then lowered the headsync directly onto the cpu....So it should be well evenly spred as it was straight down onto like flat.... After that It maybe slid a cm max when I first tried to shift my clips on... After that had to sorta tilt one side up at a time so I could connect the clips and secure them.
