Im put together a pc build for some gaming. I have 2, 24 inch tvs (1920, 1080 each) that i may consider for dual monitor game play. i have been debating over which motherboard to get for while now and need others opinions.

heres the build

the motherboards have been between

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

and this

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

what the pros and cons of each. In the event the board i recieve is doa, which company has the best reputation in replacing a mb?

i May overclock the processor ( fx-6300) but don't plan to in its early days of use. The ram i may overclock. I also heard the gigabyte's north bridge gets insanely hot. which mb has more features and recommend other mb's as well, is it worth getting a 990 chipset or should i get a 970?

also the psu is 600w as "indicated" by gigbyte that is performs best with a 500w. ( i chose 600w as the gpu needed 550w)

thanks for any feed back

should i also buy 2 hard drives, one for windows and small applications and another one for large games (20gb+) will this allow a pc to run faster or should i just buy a 1tb hard drive so all my needs.

I'm not an expert regarding AMD boards, however from experience I can say that ASUS is a better brand compared to gigabyte, it has a much more user-friendly BIOS and is very durable.

micro center has some good bundles deals going on so ill probably just get a 990 with the 6300 for around $50 off including rebate
