Computer stopped working; nothing connected to the motherboard turns on!

A couple weeks ago, I got a second monitor. I was told to plug one of the monitors into the graphics card (GTX 670) and the other directly into the motherboard, which I did.

Ever since I got the second monitor, I've been experiencing crashing, most of them happening during heavy loads (games, rendering, etc.), but not always. One of the crashes made one of the fans in the computer (most likely the graphics card fan) to run at 100%, at which point I had to plug the computer out from the wall.

Yesterday I went through all drivers that needed updating, including the ones for the second monitor.

Today, while doing some Photoshop, the computer crashed again, but when I went to turn it back on, nothing that was connected to the motherboard seemed to turn on, only the front fans of the computer were on.

What could the issue be? How can I debug it? My thought is that the motherboard is fried, but I'm not sure how to find out for sure.

Thanks. :(

Wait, so you're saying you were able to use two monitors - one plugged into the dedicated graphics card and the other one using onboard graphics? Strange that this worked somehow, but that's not the way to do it. Both monitors should be plugged in to your graphics card.
First disconnect that second monitor from the motherboard, unplug your PC from the power source and reset CMOS (either by a button somwhere on the mobo or by taking that flat battery out for a couple of minutes). Don't plug that second monitor back in.

I've tried unplugging one of the monitors, but anything connected to the motherboard still doesn't turn on, only the fans, which are directly connected to the power supply, work.

But did you reset CMOS? If not, please do so. And don't plug that secondary monitor back in.
What's the exact model of your motherboard?
Did you check all the connectors and cables inside your case? Perhaps something is a little loose.

Try to unplug as much as you can - get the memory out, disconnect one monitor, then another. Disconnect hard drive, graphics card, and see if anything works. If nothing works, first sign to find out if a motherboard is fried is... to smell it, I guess. And the trick with CMOS/battery out works. Try everything, and if everything else fails, try a new motherboard. If everything works - it's mobo. If not - something else, which should have been revealed already by disconnecting one part after another until the problem is solved.
