I just bought 2 4gb gskill ripjawsx 2133 ram. Its the same from what i already have in my system, but, instead of 11 11 11 30, the new ones i got are 11 11 11 31. My computer is showing i have 16gb in but only 7.46 available, any ideas? Or did i mess up and need to get the 11 11 11 30?

What OS are you running, Home Basic 64bit only allows 8GB, if that's not it, try a stick in slots 1-3 from CPU and see iff that shows 8GB available - if so then the channels should be OK, and might try raising the DRAM voltage + 0.05 and do same to the MC (memory controller) voltage (don't know your mobo or CPU which would help also)

In BIOS or in Windows? BIOS only reads the spd parameter, but doesn't actually test the ram. If Windows starts correctly with every single stick, please post mobo type and windows version.
