I have a thermaltake tr2 600 watt. I know that this is a tier five replace immediately power supply. I can turn on the computer and it will completely freeze within about five minutes . I can restart and it will completely freeze again In the same way. I am getting a evga 850 watt g2 gold power supply today. I know that this one is a tier one power supply. So it should be great right?

Better to have a good quality PSU indeed, however not sure if the PSU was in this case the problem, usually a faulty PSU will lead to the PC to shut down itself, a freezing however is more commonly caused by a faulty HDD or a RAM issue.

Anyways, you'll find out that once you install the new PSU (which even if it doesn't fix the issue is a great investment to protect your hardware).
