Hello,

I have just recently built my first new computer and it wont power up. I have the cables in the correct panel slots for the power and reset switch. Nothing has worked. I switched the power and reset switches to see if i could use the reset switch to power up the system and it failed. I have the 24-pin cable and 4-pin cable from my PSU connecting to my motherboard, the stand-by light is on and nothing happens. I have a belief it is one of two options. The first is the case has bad switch cables. Second it has something to do with the power to the motherboard.... I have no clue what it could be. If you have any knowledge what I could do, that would be bomb.

Case: NZXT Phantom 240
Mobo: Asus A88X-Plus
GPU: EGVA GeForce GTX 960
CPU: AMD A10 6800k Quad-Core Processor
RAM: Xtreem 2x 8 GB DDR3 2400
PSU: Corsair CX850M
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 Evo 500 GB

Thanks,
Collin

What do you mean by both power supplies? My PSU fan turned on, the standby light on my Mobo was on. When I used the screwdriver only the fan from the PSU turned on.....

If you are talking about connections to my mobo then yes, i have the 24-pin and 4-pin both connected

I actually found a psu from an old pre-built computer and did the same thing. When i did it both the PSU fan and the CPU fan did NOT turn on.
