Hi there Skreedles,
You can see whether there is some sort of physical issue with a certain USB port when you connect several USB devices to it. After that you can connect the same devices to a different USB port on the same system.
If none of the devices is working on this particular port but the are working just fine on the others, then the port is physically damaged.
