Noob here, recently acquired a new pc but wanted to swap the mobo. Never done it before and thought i could handle it but i can't, long story short, the previous owner had his ssds set up in either raid 1 or 0. Didn't realize that the SATA Ports are totally different on this board. I have no idea which sata slots to plug in both my ssds for setting up into raid 1 or 0 and i have no idea which sata slot to plug in my disk drive. I also have no idea how to set it up in my bios, Ive googled and nothing is specific enough for my expertise i guess, when i turn my pc on, i get a missing operating system error message. Dammit, was looking forward to some Arma 3 tonight, oh well.
Some details
Asus Z87 Deluxe-->ASRock Z97 Extreme6
Twin Intel SSD-520
32gb Corsair Dominator Platinum
Core i7-4770k

if its says a1-a2 etc there, its same issue i had with the 6 its limited in lanes hence u dont want to plug into SATA that can be used by another device, as long as u dont use every feature on the mobo u should be ok but this isnt the x99 which is retarded the put 20 things in told u can use 10

are u installing a new hd ? (partition) and doing install from beginning? it could be win giving u the problem, go into the bios i forgot the name for it but its on the first page of the uefi it shows a picture of the MB and you click on part and it will tell you what that specific connection is if its a usb-1-2-3 for instance and sata also are u plugging the power for HD from mobo or power supply u might have a bad board if you are connecting through hd saver feature, u need to start from scratch and remove the issues one by one till u get at the culprit
