Could someone chime in whether there might be compatibility issues between this motherboard and ram?

I've had this combo for over a year and have experienced lockup issues in certain games that feel like overheating, but temp monitors show nothing in the danger zone. What's puzzled me is that certain games seem worse than others, I can play Warthunder on max settings fine, but Rome 2 on the lowest settings will lockup 10 mins in. In that link for the RAM it states, "Designed Specifically for Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs and P67 Platforms" which sounded like a clue possibly...

...any ideas?

Intel Core-i5 3350P
AS Rock Z77 PRO3
PowerColor PCS+ HD 7870 Myst Edition
G.SKILL 2 x 4GB) Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600MHz F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
Corsair CX600

Solution
The G.Skill memory (part number F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) is compatible with the ASRock Z77 Pro 3 motherboard.

Try uninstalling sound (card) drivers, then install latest drivers.

If still have problems -

Download DDU.

Install/extract DDU.

Uninstall video card drivers.

Reboot into Safe Mode.

Run DDU and remove all traces of AMD/ATI folders and files.

Reboot into Normal Mode.

Install latest video card drivers.

Reboot.

Done.
if your locking up, bsod, or crashing.... there is a log of it. give us your 0x stop number. its just regular good ol 1.5v cl9 1600 ram, you shouldn't have any problems. run memtest if you think your ram is failing. otherwise it sounds more likely that your losing your video driver.

It hard locks, sound stutters for a second and everything freezes. No BSOD with error code or anything, would a hard lock like this be logged somewhere with some info I can check?

I've ran memtest with no errors reported.

Event Viewer isn't showing anything for the time of the crash. I'll try out DDU, thanks for the suggestion.

I haven't overclocked the card. Not sure if it's factory overclocked since it's a fancy "Myst" edition?
