Yeah, my money has just been tossed into a blender, possibly when I just saw this error code.

Anyways, yesterday my computer was being extraordinarily slow when booting up, and when I logged onto my windows account, it just froze at the desktop with nothing being loaded up. I thought, "well gee, my explorer.exe is not really being friendly with me, eh?" So, I go into task manager(really slow to loading up as well) and force close it, where it returned to the desktop and failing to load up.

At this point, I decided to restart my computer where it ended up the same way. I then proceeded to restart several times with no success, and since I couldn't boot into safe mode(i tried every possible method in the state my computer was in and nothing worked) I decided to leave it for the night, since I was nearing the frustration of almost kicking my computer.

Next morning, I tried to boot up my computer again, this time i couldn't log in at all and I just left it and left for work. After work, i come home to find my computer now booting with the error, but not this error. This first one was for a registry error. Unfortunately, i was unable to take a picture of it. So, i decided to redownload my Windows 8.1 onto my usb so I could repair it. But, of course I wanted to reboot to see if it'll work again. And now I come across this error code: 0xc00000e9. So, with the summary it's given me, I decided to power off my computer and see my HDD, I checked the wires and reconnected them to no success. And here I am on the forums.

The only reason I would suspect the registry error, would be that I do scan my computer every 3 days with Advanced Systemcare Pro, which does a lot of computer maintence, couple dealing with registry defragging and clean up.

Also, I have also considered my HDD failing, so I am within my warranty with WD so I could obtain a new HDD.

And I also know that this may be a virus problem as well, possibly infecting my bios according to another forum post on here.

Whatever the case, I could use all the help I can get. I'm in the midst of repairing my pc with the Windows 8.1 boot so I will keep posted.

Stop that. I've never heard of that software. As long as you don't install random things that are found on the internet and don't use pirated/cracked software you can limit your routine maintenance to running Disk Cleanup once a month.

Also, I have also considered my HDD failing, so I am within my warranty with WD so I could obtain a new HDD.

This is the most likely explanation; a failing boot device will most definitely cause BSoDs. If you have any other hard disk lying around to test in its place, try swapping it out.

Thanks for the answer, man.

Advanced Systemcare is a trusted program for PC optimization and cleanup and I've had no problems with it with my laptop and past pcs and it has increased their performance and cleaned up my PCs very well.

As for the HDD failing, it's as you and I assumed. I just got my Window 8.1 on USB and I tried to run a repair, but found out my HDD is locked and I've been trying a few simple commands in the cmd prompt with little to no success.

I will be inquiring WD with my warranty and hopefully getting a new HDD.
