Hello,

I'm gonna buy a USED bundle , there's a 3 options from 3 people i know
(USED in a good condition because the budget won't help at new parts :D)

The 1st one: (327$)

CPU i5 4430
MB ASUS B85M-E
RAM 2*4 DDR3 4GB 1600 cl9 Apaccr
Thermaltake TT Commander Mid-Tower Case + 450W PSU

The 2nd one: (347$)

CPU AMD FX-6300
MB GIGABYTE 990XA-UD3
RAM Gskill 2*4GB DDR3 1866 cl9 volt 1.5
PSU Cooler Master GX650 (650W)
CASE Gamma 6C29 Mid-Tower (+Cooler Master 120mm Fan)

Final one: (308$)

CPU i7-2600K
MB MSI P67A-GD55
RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE 2*4GB DDR3 1600 MHZ
Without a case and PSU.

PLEASE NOTE
My graphic card is Gigabyte Radeon 7750 1GB OC Edition, but i may upgrade it after i get the bundle (I think with a 7870 or 750 Ti)

I'm using PC for Gaming, Photoshop, Some Sony Vegas and After Effects. Soon i will be training on C4D (maybe).

Please tell me which one should i go for ? and what are the pros and cons for every one?

Thanks

The CoolerMaster GX series PSU's are not good quality, they can't provide their rated power and have very very poor capacitors in them that don't like heat (last I checked Egypt was warm...)

The fx6300 has six threads it's not a true hexa core because pairs of "cores" share resources. It also has slower performance per thread as each thread gets less work done in a fixed amount of time than either Intel chip.

I agree with Razer, get the i7 and overclock it, just make sure that P67 motherboard has the b3 revision hardware first else you might find it has a faulty SATA controller

Bundle 1 will give you the best gaming performance, if you upgrade your GPU you might need to upgrade that 450W PSU depending on what you choose.

The PSU in bundle 2 is awful and the cpu performance is closer to an i3 so I'd avoid that

The P67 motherboard chipset in bundle 3 was a bit hit and miss as I recall, it's older and so I would consider that too

In summary, bundle 1 is the best for gaming but bundle 3 might be better for Vegas and After Effects because of the extra threads

What parts do you already have? If you go for bundle 3 what will you do about not having a PSU and case?

I just have the HDD and DVD , my psu was a sparkle ice power 450W but it has stopped working, because we had many power outage last months and looks like it was the reason :\
So i need a new PSU I may also get a new case for that.
But why is the 2nd one awful ? The FX 6300 has a 6 cores and performs like i5 2400 i think , doesn't it ? and also the psu is too good and the most thing i like about it that it has all parts so i don't need to search :D

By the way what about upgrading GPU to 6950 2GB Sapphire Toxic Edition ? it's a model downgrade but performance upgrade, because some one also offered me it in a good condition for 80$ only, isn't that good?

and Thanks guys for fast replies .

Old but gold. Overclocked it will outperform the Haswell i5, if not it will tie with it at stock in games which don't make use of multiple threads. From Sandy Bridge to Haswell there's barely a performance difference. Sandybridge makes up for its lower IPC by its great overclocking capability. Also since he's using programs which can take advantage of hyperthreading the i7 would come in handy.

If you can get the third option for around $40 less I would definitely go for it. $308 seems a bit steep.

CPU: ~$170
Motherboard: ~$60
Ram: ~$40

Total: $270

I'm confused :3
Seems like prices are a bit higher here in Egypt,
What about getting the HD 6950 2GB Toxic ? Because if i get a new one i will get only 750GTX , my monitor is 23 inch 1080p btw

Haha i didn't notice that when i replied: no Egypt isn't warm right now it's so cold :D but in june it will be warm,

about the motherboard, yes it's "MSI P67A-GD55 (B3)"
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P67AGD55_B3.html#hero-overview

it has usb 3 also,
but i'm confused about the price cause you said it may be about 40$ less that means 300 EGP that;s not a few amount,

That was RazerZ who thought the price of the bundle should be about $40 less but as you say, things are more expensive in Egypt

sorry didn't notice, however maybe it's more expensive because of customs or greedy sellers :D

i'm still asking "about the card it self is it good to get that gpu i mean it's kinda old and etc" ?

and thanks for your replies again guys

That's strange really, why does the GTX 750 outperforms 6950 ?
And R7 265 does better than 7850 and 660 , is that really the actual performance for most games ?

There are at least 4 games in that article so yes!

The HD6950 is older hardware and in addition it only has Direct X 10 support, the R7 265 *is* a HD 7850 but is overclocked and with a few other small improvements so it makes perfect sense that it would outperform the HD 7850
