I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. I've searched the internet for help but I couldn't find a solution. Ever since this Saturday, I haven't been able to connect to the internet through Ethernet cable. After intense googling, I found that my isatap adapter drivers were corrupted. In device manager, I don't have a Network Adapters tab but, I do have a '@NetCfgx.dll,-1502' tab and inside are the 2 corrupt isatap adapters. When I right click either of them and click properties, it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". When trying to uninstall/disable/update driver software, I get an error saying 'Windows could not load the installer for Net. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance. To fix my inability to connect to the internet through my computer, I have tried the following:

Uninstalling/updating my drivers in device manager

System Restore to a date before the error (I just get an error after rebooting saying that the restore failed and nothing had changed. Tried uninstalling antivirus programs and redtoring in safe mode, didn't work)

System Restore to a date other than the ones that didn't work (didn't work either)

Sfc /scannow

Regsvr32 (says it does not recognize the command and I have tried editting thw path in environmental variables but it didn't do anything)

Changed Ethernet and DSL cables

Restarted Router
